Budgies Heating Requirements

Heating Electric tubular heaters are the only safe means of maintaining a constant temperature in the birdroom. When used with a thermostat, costs can be kept to a minimum. I have found that a setting of abou 10oc does quite well. Try to make sure that there is enough humidity in the birdroom when using heaters.

Budgies Lighting Requirements

Lighting Budgies need enough light to feed their chicks on dark winter nights. They should have about 12 hrs light, including daylight. I have a time switch and this does quite well. Other options include timed dimmer switches so that as daylight falls, the artificial light increases.
